NOFA-NJ is an organization of consumers, gardeners, and farmers working together to create sustainable regional food systems which are ecologically sound and economically viable.  Through policy advocacy and educational opportunities, we promote land stewardship, organically produced food, and local marketing.  NOFA-NJ brings consumers and farmers closer together to make high quality food available to all people in our state and our region.  We value friends and supporters like you who care deeply about creating healthy, organically grown food systems and who choose to play an active role in shaping our world.  We have a great deal to do, but together we can accomplish what none of us can do alone.

 

You can get involved by becoming a member, volunteering your time and suggestions, or working to advocate for healthy food systems in your local community.  By joining NOFA-NJ we can join together and some of your membership benefits include:

  • Our quarterly newsletter Organic News and Views that keeps you in touch with events in New Jersey and eastern PA, containing articles to increase your knowledge of organic food production and keeps you informed on the activities and thoughts of NOFA-NJ members;

New benefits soon to be included are: The Local Organic & Natural Food Guide listing information about our certified organic farmers, restaurants serving local food, and  providers of natural and organic products around the state.  Also, the NOFA-NJ Seasonal Cookbook listing recipes from members & local restaurants highlighting local seasonal crops and products.  You will receive new recipes each season as well as the opportunity to share recipes with other members on the website.
