31st Annual Winter Conference This Year Online

NOFA-NJ will be hosting the 2021 Winter Conference on January 30th and 31st from the comfort of your home!

For this year’s winter conference we will be exploring the present and future of NJ agriculture through the eyes of the state’s, countries, and the world’s vision of what agriculture is becoming. Our speakers will. Be discussing climate change, social and food justice, new agricultural practices, and innovations to make the NJ food system environmentally and economically.

Day 1: Resilience in the Face of Social, Economic, and Environmental
The first day will take place on January 30th beginning at 9 AM and ending at 4 PM. Speakers and discussion about growing resilience in the face of social, economic, and environmental challenges. These empowering and enlightening conversations will address current events and future plans for how NJ organic food systems will shift socially and physically through local and global impacts. The day will be followed up with a virtual seed swap and a showcase of this year’s featured new seeds by our seed company sponsors, this will occur from 4 PM to 5 PM.

Day 2: The Way Forward: Practical Solutions For Climate Resilience

The second day of speakers will take place on January 31st starting at 9 AM and ending at 4 PM. This day will focus on solutions to the problems and modern troubles of farming through innovation and technology used by local organic farmers. The day ends with a virtual discussion group lead by Journey Person alumni and sharing resources online over a happy hour from 4 PM to 5 PM.
