Pawpaw Tasting and Farm Tour with Dr. Charlie West

September 29, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • This event has passed.

Taste and learn how to grow the delicious North American pawpaw, a fruit native to the mid-western and northeastern US that is resistant to pests and diseases and produces delicious sweet fall fruit with Charlie West, PhD, veteran farmer and botanist. Charlie West has produced pawpaws for ten years in New Jersey and during his childhood on an Ohio farm. Charlie and his family settled on their farm in Branchburg after a career as a college instructor in botany and plant sciences. They will share tastes of the varieties of pawpaws and how to grow pawpaws in the garden or farm.

Due to popular demand, we will be holding three identical, 2-hour sessions: Saturday, September 29 from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm, and one on Sunday, September 30 from 2-4pm.  Advance registration required – please no walk-ins.

Event registration is $10 for NOFA members and $20 for non-members.
