Soil Health Field Day and BYOB BYOP End of Season Celebration for CRAFT Farmers

October 23 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • This event has passed.

Please join Scott Morgan and Andrea & Tony Kennette as they walk Morganics and Martenette Farms and discuss practices for increasing soil health.

Morganics Family Farm was born from a desire to breach the final frontier of local organic production in the Northeast section of the United States and thereby take part in the revitalization of the local grain shed.  The goal of Morganics is to provide top quality product, grown in organic soil and sun dried to perfection.  Morganics Family Farm is the active synergy of Scott, the farmer, and his wife Alison, an acupuncturist and herbalist.  Scott and Alison believe that healthy living is a continuum that involves our environment and our interaction within it.  By maintaining healthy soils and a balanced ecosystem, Morganics is able to produce nutrient dense, flavorful foods to feed our body, minds and spirits.

You will be able to tour BOTH Martenette Farms and Morganic Family Farms of Hillsborough while discussing the successes and failures of the 2019 season. This is a Potluck BYOB  and BYOP Produce event that will ALSO have the Local Harvest Pizza Truck as an extra canvas to showcase your farms pizza toppings! All are welcome, PLEASE NO DOGS.  The tour will begin at Martenette Farms at 4:15 so PLEASE arrive by 4pm. We will end the tour session across the street at the newly constructed Morganics Farm Barn where we have a round table discussion about soil practices and then we will eat, drink and be merry with the help of the music of John Busse and Tony Kennette.

Want to be extra awesome? Bring your own blissware aka Plate, Cup, Utensils… You will make your Mama Earth so proud if you do!!!

This is a free event, but advance registration is appreciated.
