Taught by experienced farmer and former NOFA-NJ Journeyperson Jessica Isbrecht, this eight-week course helps farmers and farm-based entrepreneurs develop and improve their business management skills. The course covers budgeting, financial planning, staffing, understanding local regulations, farm accounting, and developing a formal business plan. Over eight weekly sessions, with homework and individualized instructor feedback in between, participants will develop a stronger business management plan to get their new farm-based business on a strong foundation – or to improve an existing business. With special guest speakers in marketing, accounting, local regulations, legal compliance, financing, and agriculture.
Tuesdays from 6-9 pm from October 31 to December 19 at Duke Farms, Hillsborough
