Anchor Run is a 28-harvest-week, 475-member, Certified Organic CSA-only farm entering its 20th season. Produce is grown on 13 acres on a 100-acre Open Space Preserve between Newtown, New Hope, and Doylestown in Bucks County, PA.
We’re looking for aspiring farmers to join our small and efficient Farm Crew and participate in all aspects of production (excluding tractor operation). Full-season full-time (March-November), peak-season full-time (June-August), and part-time any-time help is needed. Work averages 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, with opportunities available for additional time during peak-season. On the shoulder ends of the growing season (March, November) work averages 30-35 hours/week. Depending on the length of the harvest season, there may also be part-time work in December. Travel, education, leisure, or some other activity is encouraged for winter months (Jan/Feb).
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, have a positive attitude, and work well with others. Prior farming experience is appreciated but not required. Love of plants and working outside is important. This is a good job to begin your exploration into the wonders of farming.
Compensation starts at $15/hour for full-season full-time staff and includes a CSA share size of your choice as well as eggs from our flock of layers. Onsite subsidized housing is available. Returning employees receive a signing bonus and increased pay.
