Hello! We are a couple looking for a housing exchange opportunity: you provide the carriage house, converted barn or small cottage with land/animals that need tending and we provide the energy, time and sweat equity for either a complete exchange or a reduced rent.
Having just returned from a year abroad working on small farms and eco-hospitality ventures in Italy, Croatia & Scotland, we are excited to settle down in the Central NJ area to close to family and friends.
A little about us:
Ael is a food justice advocate with Slow Food International and has a background in film, farmers markets and food. She also is a goat herder, a former DJ and a great cook!
Most recently I (Allison) traded in my restaurant apron for a beekeeping suit and cared for bees on rooftops in Philadelphia for an international beekeeping company. I also have an extensive background in gardening, herbalism and hospitality services.
We have been together for over 13 years and make a great team. We’re hard working, responsible and fun and have lots of references, from both former landlords and employers, at the ready.
