Title: Crew Member (seasonal)
Job Description: The Crew member will support the Farm Managers and Crew Leader in their daily
tasks running Kimberton CSA’s 10-acre, organic, mixed vegetable production farm. In addition, the Crew
Member will have the opportunity to learn how to operate small engine farm machinery as delegated by
the Farm Managers and/or Crew Leader. This is a position ideal for someone who has some experience
farming or gardening and is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and gain more experience
through working a full season on a production farm. Kimberton CSA is located in Chester County,
approximately 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia and three miles west of Phoenixville.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
● Assist with production on a small scale, diversified biodynamic vegetable farm
● Operate small engine farm machinery
● Guide and work with workshares when appropriate
● Engage politely with members when necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
● Must be at least 18 years old
● Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in adverse weather conditions
● Valid driver’s license (preferred)
● Some farming or gardening experience (preferred)
Skills/Attributes:
● Highly motivated, efficient, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to interact
well with both staff and customers
● Able to work in a physically demanding environment, modeling endurance and a positive attitude
● Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
● Able to work well with diverse groups of people
Hours: Expected to work up to 40 hours a week, between Monday-Friday
Pay: $12-14 (depending on experience)
Reports to: Managers then Crew Leader
