Rate: $16 + wellness perks
Commitment: 40-50 hours/week, Monday – Friday + every other Saturday

Lancaster Farmacy grows certified organic medicinal herbs, flowers and produce on our 25 acre
farm. Our mission is to empower people to reclaim their health through the knowledge of natural healing traditions of whole foods and herbs. We are a member of Lancaster Farm Fresh
Cooperative, a non profit farmers co-op and grow items for C S and wholesale. We hand craft small batch herbal remedies, run a unique seasonal wellness program, farm store, education workshops, and sell bulk herbs. We are looking for the right person to join our team!
Position Overview:
The Lead Farmer will work closely with the farm owners to run all aspects of the farm operation.
This job includes greenhouse management, planting, weed management, record keeping, implementing crop and field plans, monitoring crop health and taking care of overall health of plants
and soil (cover cropping, compost, fertilizing, mulching, weed control) and farm crew management. Lead Farmer will be responsible to oversee crop successions and harvest schedules based on
weekly orders from our coop and special customers. Must know how to set up and maintain a drip irrigation system, utilize a fertility program and maintain organic pest control. The Lead Farmer wil
oversee post harvest activities to maintain product quality like bunching and packing fresh herbs and produce. Will work with the farm team on a daily basis and must be comfortable delegating tasks to farm crew to achieve daily and long term goals.
Must have
At least 2-3 years experience in organic farm production.
Experience operating tractors with implements for 3 point hitch and PTO
Run small farm power equipment like (tiller, weed whacker etc)
Must work in all weather conditions and a fast paced environment.
Must be able to lift 50+ Ibs
Be a good communicator and be a team leader for the farm crew as well as work independently. Drivers license and clean driving record
