Beach Plum Farm in Cape May, NJ is looking for a fulltime team member to be our tractor operator. We are a 62 acre diverse organic farm growing for 8 restaurants plus our own onsite farmers market. We raise 100 different varieties of fruit, vegetable, herbs, and flowers in addition to our hogs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and honey. We are searching for a dedicated individual with mechanical prowess and proficiency, precision, and great time management skills. This is one of the most important jobs on the farm. It is a position geared to those who enjoy being an individual contributor. Tractor skills required are implement changes, cultivation, plastic mulch laying, mowing, disking, spreading. plowing, boom spraying, plastic lifting, fork lift, box grading, etc. We can offer temporary housing while a more permanent housing situation is found. We farm during the day and surf or sunbath on the beach in the afternoon. We truly are a farm by the sea. Hours can be flexible as long as the work is completed.
