Len has more than 20 years experience in the outdoor industry and have recently transitioned to a non-profit organization dedicated to outdoor stewardship. I am passionate about the outdoors and local food. In 2013, he participated in roundtable discussions at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Asbury, NJ, which explored the feasibility of jumpstarting a local food economy. From those discussions, and inspired by the renaissance of grain economies in the Northeast, River Valley Community Grains was formed. He has focused on a collaborative approach with growers to transition to regenerative agricultural methods and reintroduce a variety of grains, such as spring and winter wheat, while striving to reestablish the infrastructure to better meet the growing demand for grains.
