Meredith Taylor is a Research Associate in the Office of Urban Extension and Engagement. Her focus is participatory action research in the areas of urban agriculture, food systems and public health. She works statewide with groups focused on building local and healthy food systems in underserved communities. Meredith teaches an undergraduate course in Food Justice and Community Advocacy and oversees the Cook Campus Organic Garden and Urban Farm Incubator. She convenes a biannual conference called Ag in the City that connects urban farmers and gardeners across New Jersey, and serves on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC). Meredith received a Master’s Degree in Food Studies and Nutrition from New York University and her Master of Public Health from NY Medical College School of Public Health. Meredith is a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener and an avid beekeeper.
