In this workshop, expert and amateur beekeepers alike can learn to improve the health of their colonies. Did you know that 1 in 3 bites of food wouldn’t be possible without a pollinator? With honeybee populations on the decline, there’s no better time to learn about the essential role they play in our food system and what we can do to save them. The class will cover: Honeybee colony management, Equipment, Selective breeding and queen rearing from colonies that are combatting pests and diseases without treatments, and Soil health practices that help pollinators. Healthier colonies start with better bees, and raising better bees starts with a holistic understanding of their resilience and work ethic.
