Hi Friends, Colleagues, Community: These are unprecedented times, and the only way that we are going to get through this is together. As many of you know, I founded Zone 7 in 2008 to deliver local food to restaurants, grocers, and schools (including Hopewell Public Schools). As you know, restaurants and so many businesses are closed in order to ensure the health of our nation. At Zone 7, restaurants and schools make up 50% of our annual sales and an even higher percentage during the Winter. We are operating with a heightened food safety so that we can continue to support local farms. And we are pivoting part of our business to help the public gain access to all of the local farms’ great products with a home delivery program in Central NJ and Eastern PA. We launched this within the last week, as a partnership with one of our long-time customers (Just Farmed) and so far, the response has been great! We are hoping that a weekly box of local food will brighten everyone’s spirits – and help to keep us healthy. See below for more information – we are taking sign-ups each week until Friday at noon for delivery the following week.
No pressure but feel free to share with anyone that might be interested.
* In addition, we are rallying with our farms to get their food to so many people in need to food banks and partner organizations like Rolling Harvest – if you have ideas for partnerships, let us know.
Thanks so much for your support, sending love to you and your families. Stay safe and healthy, Mikey & the Zone 7 Team
