We are looking to add another crew member to our organic vegetable production team. The vegetable production team is responsible for all field work that is required in growing over 120 acres of fresh organic vegetables here in Pittstown, NJ. Daily tasks for farm production crew may include tillage, cultivation, transplanting, irrigation, mowing, row cover management, spraying, and harvest. Preferences will go to experienced equipment operators but we are also open to training ambitious farmers looking to gain new skills. You will be working alongside seasoned vegetable growers while occasionally helping out the harvest team when needed. The work is a great mix of teamwork and solo work.

Qualifications:

Farm production crew applicants should have at least 2 seasons of farming under their belt. Must be comfortable around tractors and farm equipment. Good problem solving skills, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic are all vital for this position. Candidates that have experience in organic vegetable growing, auto mechanics and construction will be preferred.

Details:

Work starts ASAP and continues through December. Full year positions are available for the right fit.
