In 2023, Veteran Farmers of New Jersey was established within NOFA NJ to engage and support veterans interested in agriculture & food systems through community building, technical support, mentorship & educational opportunities.
Veteran Farmers of New Jersey was brought about by NOFA NJ Member and VFNJ Coordinator, Cliff Pristas, a Veteran of the United States Army. Seeing the need and opportunity to engage veterans in agriculture, VFNJ is actively seeking partners and farm hosts to join in the initiative.
Veterans and active duty personnel are encouraged to take the VFNJ Survey. This survey is being conducted to assess and meet the needs of our veteran community; survey information provided is confidential and will not be shared outside of VFNJ.
Support Veterans Today! Donations made to VFNJ are tax-deductible and held in a restricted fund by NOFA NJ. Funds will be used to support VFNJ programming & Veteran Scholarships to agricultural education & events.
Love Coffee? Help support the mission of the VFNJ, one cup at a time, through the purchase of some delicious, organic local coffee from our partners Homestead Coffee Roasters in Bucks County, PA.
