Position: Farm manager

Reports to: Richard Mood or Patti Mood, owners

Schedule: 5 or 6 days a week. 7am -6pm – ish

About Us: Mood’s Farm Market, LLC is a family owned farm in Gloucester County Southern New Jersey. Our market is located at 901 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. We have about 180 tillable acres, with about 150 currently used for crops. We grow cherries, blueberries, pears, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, peaches, apples and pumpkins. In the fall, we press our own apple cider. Throughout the season, pick your own fruit is available to the public, and in the fall, we offer hayrides and a corn maze. 

About the position: We are looking for someone to be in charge of 6-10 people. This number includes both field workers and tractor drivers. The manager will make schedules and show the employees where to work and what tasks they will be doing each day. The position will only supervise the farm workers, as the market is a separate entity with separate management. The work week is normally Monday through Saturday, sometimes a half day on Sunday. Hours will depend upon the season and the work that must be completed during that time.

Requirements: Our main requirement is that the farm manager must be honest. Absolutely no lying or stealing will be tolerated. Some knowledge of fruit trees including planting, pruning, fertilizing and application of chemicals is preferred. Experience with making schedules for employees and supervising a team of employees. Need to be able to lift 70 pounds. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required. 

Responsibilities: Must be able to work both independently and as a team. Be dependable and organized. Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Farming is an all weather job. Be prepared for working outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to handle multiple things at a time without getting flustered.
