We are hiring a farm manager for the 2019 season, beginning in March 2019 with the potential for year-round employment if interested. This position will be a salary position. Greater Greens Farm is a Bio-intensive Organic farm situated on 40 acres. It has a large, state of the art Green-house Aquaponics operation, 7 acres of no-till organic farming, 5 acres of native Pollinator Habitat and the remaining acreage is dedicated to cover crop operations to build up the organic matter of our soils. The Farm focuses on specialty crops that promote health and longevity mainly through specialty CSAs, Nutritional Programs with Health and Wellness Centers, Corporate Wellness Programs, Chef direct sales and four local Farmers markets near the Long Valley, New Jersey area. Our top priorities are to produce consistent nutrient dense high quality produce year-round while leaving the lowest possible impact on the environment and support the reversal of climate change. Experience: • Direct Organic Production Farm lead or manager experience for at least 2 full season • Direct Greenhouse Farm experience desired for at least 1 full season • Experience with good farming and food handling practices • Education in Agriculture with focus in organic farming or in-door greenhouse production is a plus but is not required • A combination of related skills and education will be accepted • Must not be a smoker due to Tobacco Mosaic Virus risk Compensation: • $40K – 46K per year, depending on experience • Performance bonus possible based on overall farm performance and individual performance up to 10% of base salary • No housing available for this position • Free Produce Weekly for Personal use • Accrued 1-week paid vacation time per 12 months • Accrued paid sick days • Flexible work time between Nov-March for Year-Round employees • Ability to grow into high level role and full-time year-round employment based on performance
