We are a fully functional farm-to-table event venue, hosting weddings and farm to table dinners. We grow organic vegetables and pasture raised meats. There is a lot of growth potential, with many different things going on at the farm you can be a part of. We are looking for a passionate vegetable grower with previous vegetable farming experience, to join our energetic team and become part of our rapidly growing business. We have 2 acres of certified organic fruits and vegetables, orchard, raised bed space and a green house. We maintain an on-site kitchen where we prepare items for sale and cook for our farm-to-table dinners. Your responsibility will be to own the vegetable gardening cycle from seed to harvest. You will manage the different varieties and quantities of each, in order to supply our booth at farmers markets, farm-to-table dinners, weddings and other events. You will be responsible for managing field prep, seeding, planting, pruning and harvesting. There are helpers on the farm to assist with your direction. Applicant must have the following: -Minimum 5 years’ experience as a grower in an organic setting -Capability to produce budgets for growing operations -Manage seed purchase and variety with input from our farm -Demonstrate an understanding of soil fertility and crop rotation -Good communication skills -Must be organized and detailed oriented -Self-sufficient worker but able to work well with a team -Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work long hours on your feet -Ability to operate farm equipment a strong plus
