Certified Horticulturist Course Starting 11/19
Brookdale Community College's Certified Horticulturist course begins Tuesday, November 19! This program is for individuals who are employed or plan to enter the field of Horticulture or have completed the Fundamentals of Horticulture course and want to get a deeper understanding of Horticultural practices. In addition to providing an excellent career and professional development learning opportunity, this course helps you prepare for the rigorous four-hour American Society of Horticultural Science Certified Horticulturist certification exam. Let clients, consumers, and employers know that you possess the knowledge and skill of a professional by becoming a Certified Horticulturalist, a national credential. In this 56-hour instructor-led program, plus field trips, gain hands-on practical training in Brookdale’s greenhouse. Explore the following areas of study: Landscape design and maintenance; Production of fruits, vegetables, turf, and ornamental plants; Shipping and handling of final product; Propagation; Monitoring and testing; Diagnosing and managing plant problems; and Business practices.
