As we prepare our gardens, farm fields, and pastures for the growing season, few things are more important than knowing what’s going on within your soil. Join Joseph Heckman, PhD. of Rutgers University at the Ringoes Grange No. 12 for a lecture on regenerating soil fertility.  The Soil Testing Laboratory at Rutgers NJAES offers a suite of testing capabilities at a reasonable cost for gardeners and farmers alike.

Heckman will touch upon all aspects of keeping our soils happy and doing so in a simple, efficient, and ecologically sound manner, using organic materials and non-commercial nutrient sources. Q&A will follow the lecture and light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be served.
