Mobilizing for Farmer Wellness Program

Mobilizing for Farmer Wellness is a project funded by Northeast SARE designed to bring health and wellness services to the agricultural community throughout New Jersey.
This project will include:
Virtua Mobile Health Services
- Free Health Screenings and Healthy Food Access provided at farms and community events via Virtua Health’s Mobile Health Units and Mobile Eat Well Mobile Grocery Stores
- Mobile Pediatric Health Services including dental and developmental screenings, lead testing/lead poisoning education, flu shots, health education, back-to-school physicals, vision and hearing screenings, community resources and referrals to specialized services
NOFA NJ Farmer Wellness Engagements
- Annual Farmer Wellness Day events treating farmers and farmworkers to free wellness services, self-care sessions, and more
- On-Farm Safety Workshops to prevent injury and increase farmer longevity
- Free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Trainings for farmers and farmworkers
- Bilingual Farmer Wellness Guide (digital and printed) to connect farmers and farmworkers with relevant health and wellness resources in NJ
PPA & Roots To Prevention
